To the moon and back

The room was pitch dark, she drew the curtains aside to allow the moon to shine through. It reminded her of his cheesy lines,”I love you to the moon and back.” He was late for their anniversary dinner.  She was in doubt if he even remembered. She sighed and turned to search for her phone when she spotted something shine brightly in the moon light. Turning the lights on, he stood right there with a solitaire and a note that read, ‘I still love you to the moon and back.’

Fear of disturbing

He reminded her,“You have always lived for people, this is an unplanned decision.” “I don’t really know, no doubt I have lived for others but my expectations have led to a disaster. It has made me a monster craving for happiness and peace.” She lit her cigarette and took a puff.  “This transition won’t lead to happiness.” She had by nature what she herself called a ‘vulnerable temper and impetuous moods.’ While blowing the smoke away she said, “We forbade ourselves to even discuss our impetuous actions for fear of disturbing, so all we could do is cross our fingers and pray.”
