Agar pyaar dosti hai, then why didn’t Rahul end up with Anjali in the first place? The writers, directors, the whole crew was smoking some real bad stuff. The script had the protagonist, Rahul quoting, “Pyar dosti hai...agar woh meri sab se achchi dost nahin ban sakti, to main usse kabhi pyar kar hi nahi sakta ... kyun ki dosti bina toh pyar hota hi nahin ... simple, pyar dosti hai.
And then rather than falling for his best friend, he falls for Tina who just makes him go head over heels. Without noticing the best friend shedding tears or making desperate attempts to make Rahul for him. Anjali leaves Rahul and Tina in peace (a heartbroken escapist).
Time flies and we have Tina on her death bed asking Rahul to find happiness and solace and to take care of their 8 year old daughter Anjali (Rahul was high throughout to notice Tina giving him subtle hints about his best friend). Tina dies, leaving Rahul’s mother and little Anjali to play cupid between her father and a dumped, ran over badly bruised best friend Anjali. Now daadi tries to find girls for Rahul but Rahul gives a hypocritical speech, “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai ... aur pyar ek baar hi hota hai”

Anjali has now moved on in her life and is getting married to Aman. The man of every girl’s dreams except for Anjali. Why? Well, because Anjali is a girl. Period. Cutting the matter short we all know what happens in the end. Little Anjali and Daadi play cupid to Anjali and Rahul and break Aman’s heart.
If given a chance I would have wanted to make a lot of changes to this movie and not just the end. Maybe made Anjali’s character a bit stronger, a bit more inclined towards Aman after her experience with one sided love. She never confessed it to Rahul, not his fault. He never treated her like the love of his life, she took the signs of friendship in the wrong way. He basically never broke her heart. We all have our preferences and Rahul’s was Tina. Period.
What Anjali didn’t realise that she played the role of a villainess and broke Aman’s pure heart. A heart which only loved Anjali, which only focussed on her. In between Rahul and Anjali’s confused friendship and love drama, Aman took the bullet.

I would change a lot in the movie especially the end, where Anjali sees through everything and only sees Aman and the love and commitment he has. They say, “If you love something, let it go. If it returns, it’s yours; if it doesn’t, it never was. That’s what Aman did. Smiled over it and got over Anjali (Well! Hopefully!)
They should have never made this movie because the flaws and hypocrisy was to the next level. If I had written it, I would have just made Anjali more sensible and feel that, “Zaroori nahi hota ke pyaar dosti ho, pyaar buss pyaar hota hai.” (That's an original, I guess). Basically they should have just burnt the script before deciding to make a senseless movie like this.
Seriously!! I hav d same feelings for this movie.. Creating unnecessary siyapa.. Very well written.. (y) (y)
