God is a man

I always get these random thoughts when it is that day of the month. This time when I couldn’t figure out the source of my cramps, I just shrieked in pain,”God is a man!!!” it was just too random but they say, ‘A cramping woman always says the truth.’ Fine! I just made that up! Honestly or rather sincerely I gave it a deep thought and I came up with the whole situation of how a woman must have been gifted with this so called blessing called reproduction.   Once upon a time God, angels (I bet they were men too) and God’s biggest creation were having a management meeting. The agenda was, managing Adam’s needs, why needs? what needs? Adam was a Man, the rest is self explanatory. Adam was lonely, God had to start the world and get the production started. God must have asked,”Hmm… you are a man Adam, take up the big responsibility of reproducing and i’ll create someone to take responsibility of you and the products, it is a very big task and a very big responsibility” Adam being a...

An open letter to my sister on her graduation

Dear Tiny, I seriously don’t know how should I start writing this letter to you. Should I start off by an inspiring quote, should I be cheesy? Should I start off by,”When I was your age?” I can’t really find the perfect words to make you believe how much this means to me. You are not only a graduate but the best one to graduate in that academic year (itne awards joh milley hain tumko) There are a few things that I have already told you and there are quite a few that I want to tell you… Here goes my first blog post, only and only dedicated to you in the form of my first listicle post.  1. Me! and Ballu :P) you got the best professors who were more like friends and your guide, most importantly you found yourself. You didn’t let any rough storm st...

To the moon and back

The room was pitch dark, she drew the curtains aside to allow the moon to shine through. It reminded her of his cheesy lines,”I love you to the moon and back.” He was late for their anniversary dinner.  She was in doubt if he even remembered. She sighed and turned to search for her phone when she spotted something shine brightly in the moon light. Turning the lights on, he stood right there with a solitaire and a note that read, ‘I still love you to the moon and back.’

Fear of disturbing

He reminded her,“You have always lived for people, this is an unplanned decision.” “I don’t really know, no doubt I have lived for others but my expectations have led to a disaster. It has made me a monster craving for happiness and peace.” She lit her cigarette and took a puff.  “This transition won’t lead to happiness.” She had by nature what she herself called a ‘vulnerable temper and impetuous moods.’ While blowing the smoke away she said, “We forbade ourselves to even discuss our impetuous actions for fear of disturbing, so all we could do is cross our fingers and pray.”

Happiness before the fall...

Pride had taken over. He was blinded by the money he had.  It wasn't everyday that he would find money in the thrash. He feasted on the chicken and mutton.  He burped, smiled and proudly put the fake note on the bill.
